Im writing this a day late because i didn't have much time before bed

Only at times like these do i really REALLY appreciate your teaching. I never fully realized what Advance class was until now. Basically my first days of school were very confusing and unorganized. I miss Thailand more than ever because i realize isn't Thailand that i miss its NIS. I miss my friends, you Ms Linh and the rest of the teachers and staff at NIS. I was not impressed with the quality of education at KIS at all. We just started learning similes and we'll cover metaphors "later" and we are learning coordinate line graphs which we learned a year ago. The hardest class in school is the class we didn't have in NIS which is cultural studies. What i meant earlier by my appreciation for your learning is that you were teaching us advanced things but it never felt advanced i always assumed this is what all schools learned but in KIS we're learning the same things you taught us in grade 5. But what is more impressive is that you told us we were learning advanced things ,so it felt hard but Ms. Linh never told us we were learing advanced things and she always showed us the easy way of solving math problems. So only now i realize this whole time you and Ms.Linh taught us more than i ever thought you did

Thank you

Sincerely,

Joe

"Lets wear the same airplane shirts this Friday Ms. Linh, don't forget."

"Teach me more about functions and everything we need to know about math."

"Can you start an aviation club so we can set up the simulator on the projector and you can teach us everything about flying?"

"I got you another matching aviation t-shirt, we have three that we can wear together!"

"Slow life Ms. Linh, I'm going to take it easy this semester"

"Winner Winner Pizza Dinner!"

"We joined the basketball team because you were coaching Ms. Linh"

"We did it for the pizza.... jk, the most important part was we learned some new skills, had a good time, hung out with our friends, and got to spend more time with you!"

NIS Girls Bball

When coach Linh Doan enters the practice court, a hushed silence falls over the normally giggly and affable U14 girls basketball team. Coach 'Linsanity', as she's known as, is credited with the large turnout for the team this year; 22 girls. For many, it was their first time playing basketball. For others they had to split the season with futbol duties. Never the less, U14 girls was known for its constant barrage of fresh players being rotated in lines of 5 throughout games and wearing teams down. The highlight of the season came in a gritty and hard-fought battle against a much older and bigger Ambassador Bilingual School in which the girls fought tooth and nail to secure a thrilling comeback victory. With mixed luck in the tournament, the girls ran into a very good and well rounded CMIS team that would eventually go on to win first place. But there is a silver-lining. If this kind of enthusiasm for basketball keeps up among the middle school girls and with coach 'Linsanity' manning the sidelines, the future looks bright for girls basketball at NIS.

The gritty and defensive-minded U12 girls basketball team rallied after a first game loss in the tournament Tuesday with a dominating win over PREM that put them in the semi-finals game against the best team in the tournament; Grace. The high pick and rolls of the talented Grace team were shut down with a combination of zone and man to man defense. Some late game heroics by the girls tied the game in regulation and the girls pulled out the win in a triple overtime thriller. The then exhausted team never lead against CMIS in the championship game but made a late game push that fell just short with a final score of 9-12 and had them taking second place. Congratulations to the U12 girls and all the hard work they put in over the season.

Hard work, having fun and playing hard defense will earn any team Linsanity coaches Pizza Dinner.
