Personal Statement
Education is more than the subjects we teach and it should be a safe practice place where we can foster learning, communication, character and responsibility. I am a highly motivated and enthusiastic teacher who is extremely organized and perceptive to my students individual learning styles, strengths and potential for growth. I have a passionate commitment for establishing quality relationships with my students as well as the team I work within.

Educational Leadership Skills
WASC chairman at Nakorn Payap International School for the Resource Management and Development team for a self study report. During this time we devised an action plan for the school which had never been completed before and has been successfully implemented.
Curriculum Planning – Organized and developed a curriculum plan under common core for middle science as well as middle school math.
Eportfolios – the organization and implementation of eportfolios into middle school, working with students as well as the ICT department and training staff members.

Extra Curricula Contributions
Coaching – Under 12 / 14 / 16/JV/Varsity Girls Basketball. In previous years at my current school there had been no available coaches and during my tenant we were placed 2nd overall and achieved the highest female enrollment to date.
Outdoor Education – During elementary and middle school teaching I was able to organize the Mae Kok Outdoor Education Centre 3 day trips for my students as well as other overnight camping trips to various locations in Thailand. Personal initiatives for numerous organized day long field trips related to course content were also planned and executed.
Clubs – Every year of teaching I have ran a weekly informal and social homework club for students to have assistance and also to peer teach. Other clubs have included, math coaching and also an aviation club where I have been able to utilize my flying experience and specialized knowledge in theory of flight and meteorology.
Currently run a club called iKhan - directly related to Khan Academy and filling mathematical gaps through technology and personal pacing.
Tech Savvy Skills
Proficient using the following programs, software and tools;
Power school, Google drive, Google Classroom, Khan Academy, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Edmodo, Mimio Studio Notebook, film editing software – Coral Draw, Apple iMovie, Go Animations, Windows movie maker, Geo geobra, Khan Academy, Learn Zillion, ArcGIS 9.0 (GIS program) web 2.0 tools such as prezi, wall wisher, screenr, Animoto, Wordpress.
Interests
Private Pilot’s License -Single engine aircraft, VFR rating Strong knowledge in navigation and meteorology
Music - Royal Canadian Air Cadets, Pipe and drum marching band, drum major, tenor drum and bagpipes. I also attended the Lester B. Pearson School for the Arts where I studied vocals, keyboard, piano, clarinet and alto saxophone.
Further interests include any outdoor activities, camping, geography, travel, photography, sustainable practices/ energy . building/technology, healthy lifestyle, first aid/emergency first responder qualifications, cooking, playing squash and swimming, scuba diving, organizing social events, the beach.
